For as long as I can keep up, I will be posting a new medicinal herb each day.
Todays herb: Aloe Vera
Many of you probably know about this plant already. Aloe Vera originated in the Southern Arabian peninsula, however it has become a very common house plant in North America. It is easy to grow and requires very litte water.
Medicinal uses: Pieces of the plant may be broken off and applied to burns, cuts or other skin problems. Juices may also be made out of the plant and drank for help with digestion.
Keep a plant in your kitchen for cooking burns or pick up some Aloe Vera juice from a health foods store and experience all that this plant has to offer.
